Action Learning for CHP management teams: run by OLPD with In Thyme and Malcolm Young Associates

Following a successful pilot with two CHPs in 2011-12, OLPD competed successfully to run the action learning project for ten CHPs from across Scotland. Funded by SSSC and NES, the equivalent of six half days of action learning for each of the ten CHPs will be completed by the end of March 2012. The participating organisations include urban, rural and island partnerships. All face the challenges of integration, a new identity as Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs), funding and bridging health and social care with and on behalf of their localities. The pilot demonstrated the need for skilled facilitation, which was provided by Robin Burgess and Julia Parker. They are now joined by Malcolm Young in providing an innovative response to assist the ten CHPs to deal with wicked issues around the Change Fund and the integration of Older People's services.
