Robin has designed and delivered programmes for leadership, organisation and management development in Scotland for over 14 years, initially from his role at the University of Stirling, then as Programme Director with the Scottish Leadership Foundation (SLF) and over the last four years in OLPD.
In addition to designing and delivering large scale leadership development programmes, he coaches CEOs and Senior Executives in the NHS, Local and National Government, the Police and Fire Service. His facilitation of action learning and his action learning facilitator development programmes set a high standard for others to emulate.
Previous to living in Scotland, he designed and ran Management Development programmes in the Greater London area, where he initially developed an interest in the potential of Action Learning for leadership, organisation and business development. Robin is also Programme Director for the Scottish Institute for Business Leaders (SIBL) whilst running his own very successful consultancy OLPD. This work has often involved the technology of Action Learning, in which he has contributed to raising the profile and the level of performance in both the public and private sectors in Scotland. He also coaches chief officers, both individually and in groups, in taking their performance and business to the next level. In Scotland he coaches and facilitates on the NHS flagship strategic clinical leadership programme: "Delivering the Future". He is also Coaching Fellow at the Centre for Innovation in Health Management (CIHM) at the University of Leeds Business School.
Leadership Programmes designed and provided by OLPD set a new level in change and culture shift. Going beyond training, they combine personal and organizational development in an integration that impacts visibly on performance, ownership and contribution. They have been externally evaluated as outstandingly effective and have won awards for organisational development (see News page Link for details).
